WHO WE'RE HELPING
Since its launch in 2001, Big Birthday has raised over £220,000 to help a range of different charities and projects, including funding a state-of-the-art sensory playroom and an annual holiday in Wales – all for children with special needs.
JCD
Jewish Child’s Day(JCD) is a leading grant giving charity which has been helping children in need worldwide for almost 75 years. Today, over 19,000 Jewish children each year rely on us to save them from deprivation, disadvantage, abuse and neglect; to nurture them and offer them a better future.

The Fed
Project Smile Play and Learn service, based at The Fed’s beautifully-equipped Children’s Centre at Heathlands Village, provides a safe and welcoming environment. Twice-weekly groups and all-day play schemes during the holidays are an essential service for children with additional needs due to developmental delay, physical disability, or challenging behaviour. It also benefits the wider family, who receive crucial breaks from their caring responsibilities.

The Friendship Circle
The Friendship Circle was set up in order to bridge a major gap in the social provision for people with disabilities in Manchester. The charity now offers companionship to over 100 children and adults with physical and learning disabilities in the Manchester community by providing five social activities and programmes every week. Volunteering is fundamental in this work and the charity now has over 100 volunteers, of which over 90% are teenagers. The Friendship Circle hopes to give them valuable work experience whilst helping them to develop into well balanced, empathetic individuals.
