Last Sunday, over 200 people attend The Big Birthday Appeal fashion show at House of Fraser, Manchester city centre. The event raised an incredible £2,200 for Jewish children in need.

Bernette Clarke, star of Strictly Kosher, who presented the show, said: “I’m delighted to support The Big Birthday Appeal. It’s a very innovative way to encourage children to think of others less fortunate than themselves. The event has been a great success – everyone had a fantastic time and we raised an incredible amount of money for Jewish children in need.”

29 models aged four to 12 starred in the fashion show which showcased children’s fashion from various popular designer brands. The guests were also entertained by an energetic performance by a Jewish kids’ dance troop, choreographed by Debbie Hilton.

All monies raised from the event will go to The Fed’s Project Smile which provides respite care for Jewish children with special needs and their parents, who often care for them around the clock.
