THE BIG BIRTHDAY APPEAL KIDS’ FASHION SHOW IS A ‘RUNWAY’ SUCCESS

The Big Birthday Appeal’s third annual fashion show has raised over £4,500 for to help fund a holiday for local Jewish children with special needs, which will be organised by The Fed’s Project Smile.

 

The event, held on Sunday at the Village Hotel and Resort, Bury, was compered by journalist and broadcaster, Angela Epstein. It saw youngsters aged four to 11 take to the catwalk to model casual and occasionwear designs from Button Nose in Bramhall and Loofe’s in Bury.  It also featured a special performance from local dance troupe, JSTAR.  Big Birthday’s teenage supporters pitched in by helping to dress the models behind the scenes.

 

Jo Brown, who organized the event together with fellow Big Birthday member, Shelley Kersh, said:  “The fashion show was a ‘runway’ success and feedback from everyone who attended has been fantastic.  Our young models were adorable and absolutely loved working the catwalk.  Most importantly, the event has raised over £4,500 for local Jewish children with special needs.”
